Social media was abuzz Thursday with news that the first Apple Store in Thailand is set to open on 10 November in Bangkok.
The store will be part of the new THB 52.65 billion (USD 1.6 billion) IconSiam mixed-use development opening alongside the Chao Phraya River in Khlong San.
The Apple Thailand website carried an announcement on the store opening on Thursday. It said that as well as selling Apple products the store would have a Genius Bar providing help regarding services and software, and there would also be a team of experts to provide companies with advice on business solutions.
The company said Thailand’s first Apple Store could provide inspiration for a lot of people to learn about technology.
School field trips would be welcome at the store, the website said.
IconSiam is a joint project of retail and real estate developer Siam Piwat, Magnolia Quality Development Corporation and the Charoen Pokphand group. It includes two retail complexes, entertainment attractions and two luxury condominiums – the Magnolias Waterfront Residences IconSiam and The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok.
