Authorities in Pattaya on Saturday night raided a hotel on a tip-off and ended a sex party that was in full swing.
Participants were found openly engaging in group sex, and there were used condoms, sex toys and sexual-arousal drugs at the scene. There were 14 couples identified from Canada, Cambodia, China, Germany, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Ukraine and the US.
According to The Nation, local district police chief Naris Niramaiwong said the sex party had been arranged through a website, with participation for couples at a cost of THB 1,500 (USD 47) per person.
A 53-year-old Chinese man identified himself as the owner of the hotel, which authorities found to be operating without a proper license.
He has been charged with operating an unlicensed hotel, and also for inviting people for indecent acts while hotel employees are facing charges of being accomplices in such an offense.
