Free check-ups will be on offer to the public at the Sriphat Health Expo 2018 which takes place this Friday, 21 September at the Chiang Mai International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
Organized by Chiang Mai University’s Sriphat Medical Center, the one day expo will run from 7 am to 4 pm and admission is free.
“Our aim is to remind people to take good care of their health and provide them with useful information,” the medical centre’s director Asst Prof Taninnit Leerapun was quoted in local media.
The free check-ups will be provided to the public by ophthalmology, cardiac, orthopaedics, spine, gastrointestinal and liver staff. Counselling will also be available from specialists on hand.
Taninnit said the Sriphat Health Expo 2018 would also showcase health innovations and inform people of what healthcare is available. Among the innovations on show will be pharmacy robots, a fundus-examination (pupil examination) device, air-puff thermometer and tools for various types of surgery.
There will also be lectures and academic seminars, on topics like osteoporosis, liver disease, diabetes, back pain and heart attacks.
